I've been reading lots of fabulous books lately. Not Another Bad Date by Rachel Gibson, No One Lives Forever by Jordan Dane and Magic Burns by Ilona Andrews.
Loved them all especially Magic Burns. Holy crap, it was good. I had a really hard time writing my review for it. Mostly because I really don't think I did it justice, I haven't uploaded it yet for Tammie to post it because it just seems so inadequate for such a fantastic book. I really did love everything about it. The gore, the dark humor, those moments where I felt speechless because the writing was so damned good!
In other news, by next Friday or so, I'll be having my first ever contest. It's for a wonderful book that just came out, and I told the author about it and she's gonna have one of the characters write a little something and email me so I'll post it along with the contest. It's gonna be fabulous so remember to check back for a chance at a brand spankin' new copy! I'm not gonna say what book it is, that's a surprise!
Lastly, this is a snippet of a conversation I had a few days ago:
Mom: Wendy, what was in that balled up bag in your car? It smelled horrible.
Me: Oh, that was when I killed this dude and cut him up in little piece to get rid of him better and I forgot to throw away his pinkie. Oops.
Mom: Oh. Ok.
I really have no clue what the hell it was but it did smelled like something crawled in and died. Lovely.

I am reading Magic Burns right now and LOVE IT I was so mad that hubby wouldn't let me finish it last night. So I will be posting a review soon. I can't wait to see if we agree on the same things. I just love Ilona's sense of humor. I wonder what the contest will be... Hum I guess I will have to pay close attention! Hope all is going well.
I had something stinking in the old car a year ago turned out it was the mat in the trunk got wet and mold was growing. (NOT PRETTY) anyway sold it before it became an issue ;)

I love Ilona's humor, too! Kate's smart mouth is pure awesome. I can't wait to read your review! I'm twigging mine a little but I still don't like it, ugh! Ohmygod, just WAIT until you read the ending, it's the. best. ever!
The test wasn't that bad, I got a 77 but there were a few questions that a lot of us got wrong so the instructor threw them out and gaves up points for them so I'm hoping now I have an 80, I still haven't asked.

I am curious about Magic Burns now! I must go look up this author. I was ''playing with my books'' tonight and I sadly pulled out all the books from our last trade, dying to read them. But my review pile is so huge, it's not even funny. So I have to finish them first. Some of them are months late. It's so bad. I don't know how you have all the self control that you do to only take 2 or 3 books!

Rachael, first of all you HAVE to read Magic Burns and Magic Bites, if it wasn't because I love these books I would send them to you with the others!!
I don't take more because of school and I think that if I asked for more than 3, I'd start worrying that I won't make the deadline, so no more than 3 or 4 for me!
And of course you know! LOL. I can't wait! I'm hoping it's ahem, Cole, hehe.
